Radon Testing | Radon Inspection | Athens | Lawrenceville | Alpharetta | Gainesville | Cumming

In the near future, all federally-backed mortgages will require a radon test to be performed. This includes all multi-family dwellings as well.

It is not uncommon for homes or businesses to be affected by water from plumbing leaks, water heater failures, roof leaks, or flooding from groundwater entry.

Virtually all homes have radon in them but it is important to know whether you have elevated levels in your own home. Elevated Radon levels in your home present a health risk to your family. Radon levels are considered to be elevated if above 4.0 pCi/L. The only way to know is to have radon testing performed and, if elevated, have it properly mitigated.

Don’t hire a radon inspector that will also perform the radon mitigation.

Even if you are living in a relatively new high rise condominium building you have exposure to Radon from the concrete that surrounds you in floors and walls. Even though the levels of Radon gas from the concrete is very low, the amount of air exchanges in new condos have been found to be less than half of what would occur in a single family home thereby concentrating the gases in a small area.

Our certified radon inspectors are also certified by ASHI, GAHI, ICC, ACAC and EDI. We perform home inspections in Athens, Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, Gainesville and Cumming Georgia as well as radon testing .

Even though your area may be designated as a low probability area, there are still small pockets of elevated Radon present. Dekalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties have been designated as high levels areas. One of my Radon inspectors recently purchased a home in Ellijay that had very high levels of Radon. The only way to know if your family is safe is to test with a professional.

If you are purchasing a home in the greater Atlanta area, you should have an objective Radon assessment of the home done by one of our certified Atlanta Radon Inspectors. If you own a home or live in a high-rise condominium, you should have the home tested every two years.

We will perform a short-term test (48 hours) in the home. The area where the test is conducted must remain un-disturbed during the test.

We can perform any or all of the following services in one visit to assure you of the high quality, personal service that you want while keeping the costs down.
